Highlands Christian Grammar is an independent non-denominational Primary School, situated in Mt Hagen, the main centre of the stunning Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea. This is an exciting opportunity to discover this fascinating place while putting your stamp on a developing curriculum, running programmes in Computer, Phonics, classically-focussed Art and Music, and a full range of PE activities in this multi-cultural, Christian learning community. 

Highlands Christian Grammar is a growing community.  Currently there are 60 children from Preschool to Grade 8 who come from National, Professional, Business and Mission families.   Plans are in place to extend our current facilities to include 2 additional classrooms in 2012. 

Applications are sought from suitably qualified professionals who will be prepared and dedicated to work within the Christian environment of this school of special character, for the following positions to commence at Easter and mid 2012:  

Preschool Teacher and Primary Teacher

Experience in Computing, Art, Music or P.E would be an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain a unique, cross-cultural teaching experience in the Highlands of PNG and to be involved in the next phase of growth and development of Highlands Christian Grammar.  Interested persons are recommended to make application as soon as possible as it takes up to 6 months to gain the relevant Work Permit and Visa documentation required.
